NURSING CARE OF PATIENTS PRESENTING WITH ANEMIA

The work of the nurse is to provide patient care with scientific principles by which to know all about the anemia interventions can be performed when the person is hospitalized as:

• Educate the patient about their condition.
• Provide oxygen as the hemoglobin level has dropped and this means that there is insufficient oxygen in tissues.
• Administration of medications:
• Folic Acid
• Ferrous Sulphate
• Vitamin v 12
• explain the adverse effects of these and in the specific case you ferrous sulfate, which is causing a change in appearance of stool because they change their normal color for a black.
• Monitor body weight daily.
• Monitor fluid intake managed and disposed
• Taking care of the skin.
• Careful with blood transfusion if needed.
