Presence of Domestic Test Gluten
Good news for celiacs. We have developed a home test to detect the presence of gluten in amounts harmful to coeliacs in just a few minutes. Celiac patients and their families, will be able to check at any place, if any foods, beverages or prepared food containing gluten. This is particularly useful for the absence of gluten in imported products, dishes and homemade desserts, school meals, outings away from home, food labeling unlabeled or doubtful.
This test contains an antibody developed to specifically recognize the toxic fraction of gluten in wheat, barley, rye and oats in amounts harmful to celiac disease, which triggers an autoimmune response in celiac patients. The sensitivity of the test is set to detect a minimum range of 10-20ppm, taking into account international guidelines.
GlutenTox Home, developed by Biomedal Diagnostics is the first self-test food sold in pharmacies. In a first phase, will be available in the provinces of Alicante, Murcia, Barcelona, Seville and Cadiz, extending in a second phase, the other Spanish provinces.
