Migraine Symptoms – Looking at the Triggering Factors

Migraine can be categorized into two kinds, i.e. those with and without aura.  A migraine with aura is the one that comes with early migraine symptoms affecting mostly the visual of the person.  These symptoms usually occur as a signal that a full blown migraine attack is going to happen in the next ten to fifteen minutes.  During the real migraine attack the person will also experience vomiting, difficulties to speak and inability to tolerate noise and light.  However, migraine symptoms vary greatly from one person to another.  That is why many people who are suffering from this condition often go undiagnosed.

There are several triggering factors that you can control.  For example if your migraine symptoms can be triggered by bright lights, you need to avoid them by not driving at night or taking photographs using flash lights.  You can also have control over bad habits.  For example, smoking and drinking alcohol should be avoided if you know that these things can trigger your migraine symptoms.  On the other hand, there are certain things that you can’t control.  For example, if you are allergic to drastic changes of weather, you can’t change the climate.

Using the natural approach to prevent migraine symptoms from occurring is great.  However, when the pain attacks in most cases you will certainly need a fast reliever.  That is why you should consider using Migraleve to treat your migraine symptoms.

Smoking Being Overweight or Lack of Exercise Increase the Risk of Migraine

MigrainesAccording to a study by the University of Oslo and published in the journal “Neurology”, overweight adolescents, who do little exercise or who smoke have an increased risk of headaches and migraines.

Migraine is a chronic disease of unknown cause manifested by crisis or repeated attacks of headache, usually lasting between 4 and 72 hours, with a throbbing pain, nausea and discomfort to light and noise.

The study surveyed about 6000 students from approximately 13 to 18 years, demonstrating that young people who have these three negative factors of lifestyle are 3.4 more likely to suffer headaches.

55 percent of teens with three negative factors frequently have pains, with only 25 percent of those suffering from these pains the group that had no negative factors. However young people, who only had two negative factors, reduced the odds by 1.8 compared to 3.4 above.

If we analyze the factors, overweight subjects had a 40 percent chance of having headaches, those who smoke by 50 percent and sedentary (those who exercise less than 2 times per week) by 20 percent.

These lifestyle factors have been little studied in adolescents, so that these investigations will help to better understand the risk of certain habits and actions that can be taken, in order to better quality of life, and that the increased life expectancy, is so important for teens today.
